My name is Dee and I’ve been with THD since February of 2015. Prior to coming to THD, I worked as a Catastrophe Insurance Adjuster in the field for 10 years to assist families in settling their insurance claims. I’ve also held positions in travel, marketing and customer service industries as an Account Manager and Director of Quality and Training.
I am a native Texan—and if you are from Texas you know how important it is to claim that! I’ve recently relocated to Duncan, Oklahoma to be closer to my family. Texas – OU weekend can get quite spirited in my new neighborhood. The majority of my family has spent the better part of the last 15 to 20 years working as catastrophe adjusters as well. As such, we have spent many vacations, holidays, birthdays and other life events away from one another. Now is our time to come together again to support one another and just spend good old fashion quality time.
During my time away from work, I’m equally comfortable with the hustle of the city as I am with the solitude that comes from a day in the country. My time in the city is often spent with friends attending sporting events or concerts –everything from Horse Racing and Football to Kidd Rock and Bonnie Raitt. My time in the country is all about boating and fishing, working with horses or just taking a long walk with my little furry friends. I also love to cook and try new dishes out on my friends and family.
My experience working with families has taught me that the great ones come in all shapes and compositions and that your ‘family’ has as much to do with the people you choose to surround yourself with, as it does with biology. I am blessed to have both kinds of family in my life—at home and at work!
